"Attitudes will make or break you," says Dale Galloway in a recent
article I came across. He says, "Next to knowing Jesus Christ personally
as Lord and Savior, nothing proves more important than having a good,
positive mental attitude. Your attitude can: make or break you, heal or
hurt you, make you friends or make you enemies, wind you up or set you at
ease, make you miserable or make you happy, point you to failure or steer
you to success."

A humorous illustration is the grumpy grandpa who lay down to take a nap.
A couple of his grandsons wanted to have some fun so they put some
limburger cheese on his mustache. Grandpa awoke with a snort, staggered
out of the bedroom, shouting, "This room stinks!"  As he stalked through
the house, he continued sniffing and grumbling. "This whole house stinks!
He complained! He then charged out on the porch and shouted as loud as he
could, "The whole world stinks!"

The problem was not the world. It was right under his nose! Maybe today
is the time to ask God to change your negative attitudes about life,
people and church, and help you deal with the real problem- your
attitude.
